Amman 2014 Social Good Summit

The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator’s in Jordan joined the global conversation of the 2014 Social Good Summit and addressed the main question “How can we use social media and modern technology, to solve problems in our communities”. 300 participants attended the summit from different backgrounds including; social media activists, private sector, NGOs, media and social entrepreneurs.

The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan, Mr. Edward Kallon, opened the summit stressing the importance of social media by saying “when fully engaged, the power of social technology can be nothing but revolutionary”.

Mr. Samer Balkar, General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, spoke about his experience as a keynote speaker.
